We are the providers of the AutoCommercial website AutoCommercial (“the Site”) allowing Registered Users, which includes the sellers / landlords of the businesses or properties, or their agents, to display the business or property details for you to view. We are not a business or property agency.

A reference to “Users” is a reference to individuals using the Site and a reference to "you" or "your" is a reference to Users of the Site.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and this privacy policy (“the Policy") explains how and for what purposes we use the information collected about you when you use the Site. Please read this Policy carefully.

  • in the case of a property sale which is non confidential, there may be a link to the full property details on another website

  • to enable Registered Users to advertise their businesses or properties online
  • to enable potential purchasers or tenants to see descriptions and images of businesses or properties they may be interested in
  • to process any queries that you have about the Site
  • to contact you for your views on our services and to notify you occasionally about important changes to our Terms and Conditions or this Policy or developments to the Site
  • to deliver relevant advertising to you whilst you are on the Site
  • for our own commercial purposes such as to identify trends in the business and property market and to build databases

Our lawful basis for processing this personal data is that we have legitimate interests which are as follows:

  • providing a service to our Registered Users by helping them to market businesses and properties
  • providing a service to Registered Users by advertising businesses and properties to other Users registered as potential purchasers or tenants
  • providing a service to Users registered as potential purchasers and tenants so that they know what businesses and properties are currently on the market
  • to gain information about the use of the Site and any improvements that can be made
  • to ensure that your queries are addressed

Information you provide to us when you register as a User will be kept for as long as you have an active account and the personal data relating to your account will be deleted when you delete your account or if your account has been inactive for 5 years, whichever is earlier.

We will stop advertising a business or property when we are instructed to do so by our Registered Users but the information will remain available on the Site to enable Registered Users to access it, if required and also for our own commercial purposes.

When registering as a User to request further information on businesses and properties advertised on the Site or to advertise your acquisition criteria, we collect the following information from you:

  • your name, address and contact details
  • a brief profile of the purchaser

This information will be used to pass on to the Registered Users who have advertised the business or property on which you have requested further information to enable them to decide whether to make contact with you. We will also use this information for a number of other reasons including the following:

  • to process any queries that you have about the Site
  • to contact you for your views on our services and to notify you occasionally about important changes to our Terms and Conditions or this Policy or developments to the Site
  • to deliver relevant advertising to you whilst you are on the Site
  • for our own commercial purposes such as to identify trends in the business and property market, automated surveys and valuation tools, and to build database

We also collect the following information in relation to your acquisition criteria:

  • details of the type of business or property required
  • the location of the business or property required
  • in the case of a business the turnover range of the business required

This information will be used to provide you with details of all businesses and properties meeting your criteria and also to send you the details when new businesses and properties meeting your criteria are added to the Site.

  • providing a service to Registered Users by advertising businesses and properties to other Users registered as potential purchasers or tenants

  • to gain information about the use of the Site and any improvements that can be made
  • to ensure that your queries are addressed

Information you provide to us when you register as a User will be kept for as long as you have an active account and the personal data relating to your account will be deleted when you delete your account or, if earlier, 5 years after you last used the Site.

We will also collect any information you provide when communicating with us by phone, email or otherwise together with information provided when participating in discussion boards or other social media functions on the Site.

This information will be used for a number of purposes including:

This information will be retained until the User requests that it should be deleted by contacting info@autocommercial.co.uk or, where it relates to a Registered User, 5 years after the Registered User last used the Site, if earlier.

USE OF YOUR DATA FOR MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

You can opt out of marketing and other communications at any time by contacting us at info@autocommercial.co.uk and you can make full use of the Site without having to agree to marketing.

REMOVING BUSINESS OR PROPERTY DATA FROM THE SITE

If you have any concerns about any of the businesses or properties advertised on the Site, please contact us at  info@autocommercial.co.uk and we will endeavour to resolve the issue promptly.

If you are a seller or landlord of a business or property that is being actively marketed on the Site by an agent and you want this removed, please contact your agent directly in the first instance.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We retain access to all personal information that we have collected from you.

When you request further information on a business or property advertised on the Site your name, contact details and a profile of the purchaser will be sent to the seller/landlord or their agent to enable them to decide whether to make contact with you.

In relation to property data, it is provided to us by Registered Users who will be responsible for information in their possession and that information will be subject to any privacy terms or policies that the Registered User has in place.

We are not responsible for use (or misuse) of your information by any of our Registered Users.

There may also be links to other websites from the Site and we are not responsible for the content, security, privacy policies and practices of any other websites, even if you access them using links from the Site. We recommend that you check the policy of each website that you visit and make sure that you are comfortable with the terms of such policies before providing any personal information.

If our business is sold or merged, or if we sell or buy any business or assets, we may disclose your personal data to the prospective buyer of such business or assets. We will make sure that any such transfer is done in a secure way.

We will not otherwise disclose, sell or distribute your information to any third party without your permission unless we are required to do so by law or to obtain professional advice.

WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
